Based, superficially at least, on the design of the old patrol cruiser that once stood guard over their world the Fenris was the first true space faring warship constructed by the confederacy. Built to serve as a power projection platform, orbital bombardment delivery system and a spot for strike craft to refuel at, the Fenris has performed these jobs admirably for its long service life, though is considered a second or third rate warship in the modern era the Fenris still makes up the bulk of the fleet and is invaluable for system patrol and border duty operations. Fenris corvettes have moderate armour and are usually equipped with four medium pulse batteries, one fore beam cannon, on ventral missile pod and one rear anti-fighter beam cannon.
