A system with a large hot green star at its centre, Beta Aquilae is the cradle of the Confederacy with most of it’s most important facilities being located there.

Jove
- (Class U) Gas Giant
- Capital: Jove Atmospheric & Chemical Research Station (JACRS) (Effective)
- Population: ~1,500
A huge white and orange gas giant that orbits very close to the star, as a result its winds are some of the fastest ever recorded. Due to its close orbit much of the inner system has been consumed, locked into orbit as a moon or sent spiralling out of the system. One or two companies maintain rugged high speed scoop ships that delve into the gasses of the dark side of Jove for Helium-3 mining. Various extreme sports have also shown up, from flying gliders in the turbulent clouds of Jove itself to all terrain rallies on some of the larger moons.
Jove Atmospheric & Chemical Research Station (JACRS)
Originally built as a fuelling station in the early years of Confederate spaceflight, the JACRS was converted for research use following the development of commercial fuelling operations at Jove. Due to the extreme conditions of Jove, the JACRS requires frequent maintenance, having been designed and built before Jove was properly surveyed, and CARA plans to retire the facility once planned upgrades to HACRS are complete.
New Ganymede

Formerly a barren and lifeless desert world, New Ganymede is as of today covered mostly in lush forests, jungles and grasslands due the centuries of work terraforming. There are however still many deserts left on the planet and while many of these are being rapidly swallowed by continued terraforming efforts some, such as the legendary Silver Desert and the ruins of Emerald Spire, have been noted as nature reserves of a sort and left alone. The cities and towns of New Ganymede integrate well into the countryside, and indeed many struggle to say where one begins and the other ends.
White Island Advanced Aerospace Research Facility (AARF)
Attached to the White Island Aerodrome, the AARF is the headquarters of CARA and also of the Global Orbital Traffic Control Network, which handles the communication and coordination needs of vessels launching from or landing on Ganymede. With direct communication links to the ground based orbital tracking facilities, as well as orbital monitoring satellites, the AARF serves as the emergency space traffic control centre for Ganymede, taking over in the event the Orbital Space Traffic Control Station is unable to perform its duties. So far it has only had to do this twice, both times due to the OSTCS being taken offline for upgrades and maintenance.
CARA Orbital Docking Facility (ODF)
The ODF is the derivative of the first orbital station built by the Confederacy, expanded and upgraded over the years into a large research facility in low planetary orbit. As well as its research facilities, it houses a small space dock for constructing ships and extensive refuelling bays. The ODF is where CARA prototypes its new spacecraft designs before handing them over to military or civilian authorities for production.
Callisto & Io
- (Class U, Class U) Co-Orbital Volcanic Worlds

- Population: 250,000
A stunning stellar phenomena, Callisto and Io are two roughly Mars sized planets that have managed to find a stable orbit around each other and are collectively the third and forth planets in the system (Though which is which depends on the current orbit). Due to the massive tidal stresses of being so close to another stellar object of similar mass, both planets are undergoing constant volcanic upheaval, this makes any colonisation impossible, however it does make for easy extraction of metals and heavy metals, leading to a thriving (If highly hazardous) mining industry.
Europa
- (Class 0H) Frozen Rocky World.
- Capital: Fort Aquila
- Population: 3 Million
Europa is a large rocky world that has most of its atmosphere frozen as ice, it is also almost the sole property of the Confederate military, though the odd civilian mining and research settlement can be found doted around the surface. The majority of Europas personnel however live in a series of forts and training centres or on the orbiting military yards.
