Unlocks the ability to construct Strategic Weapons. These terrifying weapons are the ultimate weapon, capable of through a variety of means of destroying everyone and everything in a system and reducing it to Asteroid Field status. Deploying a strategic weapon in an Asteroid Field will reduce the system to empty. Strategic Weapons have no effect on Nebula or Black Holes. Strategic weapons luckily require one turn to activate, giving defenders a chance to evacuate or destroy the weapon before it activates, and the user of the weapon must make the tricky choice of either letting it be destroyed or risking a fleet to guard the weapon. A Strategic Weapon costs 4,000 RP and 6,000 PP to build and counts as a ship. NOTE you maye NOT start with this tech. |
